To create an interactive online campaign to coincide with Visit Guernsey's offline marketing campaign 'Guernsey Memories'.
I was the lead designer on this website and helped come up with an interactive microsite that allowed visitors to tailor their holiday needs to see numerous options for them that a place like Guernsey had to offer.

I was the lead designer on this website and helped come up with an interactive microsite that allowed visitors to tailor their holiday needs to see numerous options for them that a place like Guernsey had to offer.
The welcome page needed to be simple. The main aim was to get visitors to tell us their holiday needs so we could show them what Guernsey had to offer. We did this by using a simple but creative form to gather visitors needs. Imagery was used to help tie the welcome page into the offline marketing. Once live, this imagery was replaced with footage from Visit Guernsey's TV advertising.
The results page was designed to be highly visual to help sell each activity and accommodation result. Certain results were pulled out as highly recommended for that specific visitor depending on what they had searched for. We also pulled in comments from past visitors to help recommend certain ideas.
If visitors liked anything they had seen then clicking on the heart icon would save it to their favourites allowing them to either print or share their findings with friends or family.

Each result has a detail page that can be viewed by clicking on it from the results page. Rather than taking visitors to a different page we keep them on the same page but show the details page on an overlay.
The aim of the detail page is to give visitors access to the important information for that activity / accomodation. Visitors can view information such as the location, contact details, a brief description, as well as the ability to favourite that particular item.
Via a footer navigation users can also easily navigate to the previous or next result without having to close the overlay.

To add a viral element, when a visitor shares their findings with friends or family, we bring them to the following page to view the findings. Along with the bookmarked findings we also give the visitor an option to find their own. This would take them to the welcome page where they can start their own search for the perfect holiday.
